How did you guys perform on the REG Ninja practice SIMS in terms of % before taking the exam? I have been averaging anywhere from 23% correct to 66% correct. Do I need to memorize standard deduction amts, credit limits, etc???? Or is that available in IRC for research?
I am getting many wrong because I assumed certain amounts / tax rates would be provided in the SIMS, but they're not.
Also, for REG I am trending 60 -70% on MCQ's...yikes! How are the rest of you doing?

I am using both Becker & Ninja for practice, but for the sims I primarily use Becker. I average worse than you on the sims (40-60%), but according to others the sims on the practices are nothing alike to the actual exam.
With regard to the MCQ I am using Ninja, I average 70% (YIKES!), but trend 88%. Here is my breakdown:

People say you score 5-15% higher than your trending average; not sure how true that is, at the end of the day if you feel comfortable with the material, have a good understanding of the subject matter (for example I HATE B-Law), and put forth good effort in your studies you will be fine. Good luck got my exam a day before yours.
I take FAR tomorrow morning. This my fourth attempt. I have completed Becker all the way through 4 times. I decided for this attempt I should add something new to the mix-NINJA MCQ. I am working full-time and remodeling a house, but I still managed to study hard and get through “almost” all of FAR NINJA MCQ (which were incredibly helpful if I may add) so wish me luck tomorrow. I am surprisingly pretty calm this time around. See below for my NINJA stats:

Were you using NINJA MCQ's on your first attempt at BEC when you got the 73? I have taken BEC multiple times using CPAExcel and am using NINJA exclusively this time. I just wanted to know how many questions you got through on your 1st attempt and what you were trending... I am hoping to use this as a gauge of where I need to be.

No, I only used Gleim for my first attempt and got halfway through the material. Honestly, I half assed it when I got bored with the Gleim materials. I felt much more prepared and engaged with the Ninja MCQ bank though. I mainly used the MCQs to study (Which is why my average score was low) and looked in my Gleim book to explain topics that I was having trouble with.

@Jeff: I agree with CPA2B_NJ.... is it possible to start a permanent thread for Ninja trending vs actual results for each test rather than lumped together? I am using Ninja now for BEC retake and it would definitely be helpful to see info pertinent only to the area I am working on. It sounds like Ninja BEC MCQs are much tougher than the test (which is a huge relief as the questions are tough), but it took a while to find that info. I still would like to see more stats specifically to BEC but it is a lot of sifting. I would be happy to move my AUD info over to an audit thread and post my BEC results in a couple weeks if something can be set up.
Ninja MCQ gave me a 11 point boost. Scored a 71 on THREE Reg exams using other more expensive software. Decided to give it another try before moving on to another exam. Felt defeated until I saw my score of an 82.

Forgeting about the past and moving on to FAR. Using Ninja Blitz (free promotion) and MCQ for this one. Dedicated to passing it on the first time.
FAR: 1,695 questions answered trending at 70%. 58 hours. Just boosted my score from 69 to 79 using these MCQ to supplement Becker.

Used Becker for REG, but then decided that I should double up my study materials with ninja MCQs and flashcards. I was a provisional candidate so i couldn't see my scores from the first two so i was really worried...Anyway only got through 600 questions in the assessment phase. Trending of 78 average of 74 actual score was an 88. 5/29
For the record I prefer the methods of Ninja to Becker... much better analytics of scores and provides a different kind of explanation for questions with links to materials etc.
Still waiting to take BEC 7/16.. haven't bought the materials yet cause I need them to go on a deep sale... @Jeff
